3 killed in head-on collision in Logan County

PARIS, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say three people are dead, including two children, after a head-on collision in western Arkansas.

Arkansas State Police say the crash happened Thursday afternoon on Arkansas 309 in Logan County. A preliminary report says 32-year-old James D. Lee of Paris was driving south on the highway when his car was struck head-on by a vehicle trying to pass another car.

Lee was killed in the crash along with two children in his vehicle - an 8-year-old boy also named James Lee and 12-year-old Caleb Campbell. All were from Paris.

The driver of the other vehicle was injured and taken to a Little Rock hospital.
