3rd Faulkner County escapee re-captured in Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KATV) - The third Faulkner County escapee was captured Tuesday morning in Oklahoma City.
U.S. Marshalls in Oklahoma were able to catch up to Jonathan Jackson at a motel where he was arrested without incident, according to Faulkner County Sheriff's investigators. At last check, Jackson was being held in Oklahoma City awaiting extradition.
Faulkner County Sheriff Andy Shock announced Monday afternoon that Joel Vermillion and Stacy Wilson were back in custody. All three men reportedly cut the recreation yard fence over the weekend, and were believed to have jumped a second fence before finding a white Chevy Lumina with keys inside and taking off.
Sheriff Andy Shock said the escape was the direct result of staff not paying attention. He said there are already policies in place that would have kept this from happening.
