HOT SPRINGS (AP) - Candidates running for an open congressional seat representing south Arkansas will meet Tuesday night for a debate in Hot Springs.
The Student Government Association at National Park Community College is hosting the event. The forum starts at 6 p.m. at the Frederick Dierks Center for Nursing and Health Sciences and will begin with debates between local candidates running for the Arkansas Legislature.
The 4th District congressional candidates are set to debate at 7:30 p.m. Republican Tom Cotton, Democrat Gene Jeffress, Green Party candidate Josh Drake and Libertarian candidate Bobby Tullis are scheduled to participate.
The candidates are vying for the seat in Congress held by Democratic U.S. Rep. Mike Ross, who is not seeking re-election.
