7 from Arkansas schools picked in NFL draft

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Seven players from Arkansas schools were picked in this year's NFL draft.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff offensive tackle Terron Armstead was the first to go when he was selected in the 3rd round by the New Orleans Saints. Armstead was the 75th pick overall.

Arkansas running back Knile Davis was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs as the 96th pick. The Oakland Raiders took Razorbacks quarterback Tyler Wilson in the 4th round.

The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Arkansas wide receiver Cobi Hamilton as the 197th pick, while Razorbacks tight end Chris Gragg went to the Buffalo Bills as the 222nd pick.

Harding defensive end Ty Powell was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round, and Arkansas State strong safety Don Jones was selected by the Miami Dolphins as the 250th pick.
