AHTD says Highway 270 lane to be closed for work

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department says improvements to Highway 270 will require a lane closure in Hot Springs.

The department says crews will be resurfacing the highway that is also known as Albert Pike Road. The work will require the closing of the eastbound outside lane of the highway at Thornton Ferry Road just west of Lake Hamilton.

The lane closure will be Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.
