Hiring slowed sharply in March, with the economy adding just 88,000 jobs.

That rate is the lowest monthly gain since last June. It's also a drop of more than 100,000 jobs compared to March of 2012.

The Labor Department's monthly jobs report finds the unemployment rate slipped to 7.6 percent. The agency is also reporting nearly 500,000 people dropped out of the labor market last month
