FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Two Arkansans have been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison each for what prosecutors say was a work-at-home scheme.
U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge said Tuesday that 68-year-old Sharon Henningsen and 64-year-old Timothy Donavan - both of Rudy - were each sentenced to 135 months in prison on Friday.
The two were convicted of mail fraud for a scheme in which prosecutors say people nationwide sent them about $4 million in order to buy materials that Henningsen and Donavan said could be used to stuff envelopes for profit.
The two were convicted in June 14 of 1 count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and eighteen counts of mail fraud.Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
