FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A judge says a northwest Arkansas man has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the separate deaths of his two infant sons.
KHOG (http://bit.ly/1gYNPxl) reports that Washington County Circuit Court Judge William Storey sentenced Travis Fox of West Fork to two terms of life in prison without parole after Fox entered the pleas Monday morning. The pleas allowed Fox to avoid a possible death sentence.
Fox was charged in April in the death of his 7-month-old son, who died at a Springdale hospital in March. Prosecutors say the baby was shaken to death.
The Washington County deputy coroner says he recognized the family name and notified authorities that another infant had died in 2011 and prosecutors later charged Fox in that death of his 6-month-old son.
