Arkansan among children who eat dinner at White House
By Scott Inman
Dozens of children enjoyed a meal at the White House Friday for the 3rd annual "Kids' State Dinner". The event recognizes 54 winners selected in a healthy recipe competition as part of Mrs. Obama's "Let's Move!" initiative. Contestants were asked to create an original lunch time recipe that is healthy, affordable and tasty using nutritional guidelines. Winners were selected from each of the 50 states and some U.S. territories. 10-year-old Hart Irby from Little Rock represented Arkansas with an Asian catfish dish. The dinner featured a selection of the winning recipes.
