Arkansas a 3 seed in SEC tourney, plays Wednesday

FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - Arkansas dropped its Saturday game at Auburn, 11-6, to close out the regular season.

The Razorbacks learned after the game they will be a third seed in the Southeastern Conference tournament, which begins on Tuesday.

Arkansas' record is good enough for a first-round bye. The team built a record of 35-19 overall and 18-11 in the SEC. The Razorbacks play on Wednesday against the winner of Tuesday's Ole Miss-Kentucky game.

Vanderbilt is the top SEC seed, followed by LSU.

The tournament is being held in Hoover, Ala., for the 16th year.

Arkansas has the lead-off game Wednesday. First pitch is set for 9:30 a.m.
