Arkansas aims to snap skid vs. No. 6 Syracuse

FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - Arkansas coach Mike Anderson hopes to keep the team's confidence high despite back-to-back losses at last week's Las Vegas Invitational.

That task doesn't get any easier Friday night when the Razorbacks (3-2) hosts No. 6 Syracuse.

The game fall in the middle of a difficult 5-game non-conference stretch for Arkansas, one that concludes next week with a visit from Oklahoma and a trip to No. 3 Michigan.

Anderson just hopes to come through the brutal opening stretch without any long-term damage for a team seeking to return to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2008.

The Razorbacks have struggled on 3-pointers so far this season, hitting just 27.8% of their shots from behind that arc. That must improve against the undefeated Orange (4-0).
