Arkansas Falls In First SEC Road Contest At Florida , 30-10

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The University of Arkansas football team (3-3, 0-2 SEC) fell in its first SEC road game of the season, as Florida (4-1, 3-0 SEC) earned a 30-10 victory at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday.

Pinned against the league's best defense, the Razorbacks opened the game with early momentum and began by asserting their running game to take an early 7-0 lead behind a creative, reverse-field Jonathan Williams 4-yard touchdown run. The Gators entered the game having allowed a nation-best 53.5 rushing yards per game, yet it took just seven runs for the Razorbacks to eclipse that mark with nearly six minutes left in the first quarter.

After just seven carries, the Razorbacks had recorded 62 yards rushing and finished the game with 111 yards on the ground. Arkansas also finished the game with 275 yards of total offense, which was the most offensive yards the Gators defense had allowed all season, but the Razorbacks failed to find the end zone the rest of the game.

Williams finished the game with 32 yards and one touchdown on eight carries, while Alex Collins added 54 yards on 13 carries. Collins recorded 99 all-purpose yards on the night, adding in 45 yards on five catches.

Williams' score in the first quarter would mark the lone touchdown on the game for the Razorbacks, however, as Arkansas fell by a final score of 30-10.

Dan Skipper blocked a Florida field goal attempt in the first quarter, giving him two blocked field goals this season. Skipper also became the first Razorback to block multiple field goals in the same season since Seth Armburst blocked two in 2009.

Zach Hocker also moved into 11th on the SEC career points scored list by converting on one field-goal attempt and an extra point. With four total points in the game, Hocker now has 328 points in his career, which passed James Wilhoit of Tennessee and Michael Proctor from Alabama.

Arkansas returns home next Saturday to host South Carolina inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:21 a.m. and the game will be televised by SEC TV.
