Arkansas Governor hopefuls target each other's DC ties

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Democrat Mike Ross and Republican Asa Hutchinson are regularly trading attacks that accuse each other of being beholden to Washington as they seek the governor's office in Arkansas. But the two both have Washington ties as they try to tag each other with the insider label.

Ross served 12 years in Congress and was a public face of the Blue Dog Coalition of Democrats during his time there. Hutchinson is also an ex-congressman who also worked as a Homeland Security official and a lobbyist in D.C.

The two are both hyping their Arkansas ties and experience in the state as the race has turned into a battle over who has more baggage from their years in Washington.
