LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Several rice mills in Arkansas are set to donate more than 120,000 pounds of rice to the Arkansas Rice Depot to help feed hungry Arkansans.
The donation is scheduled for Thursday morning - following an event in which Gov. Mike Beebe is to proclaim Rice Month in Arkansas.
Among the rice mills scheduled to make the donation are Cormier Rice Milling, Horizon Seed, Producers Rice Mill, Riceland Foods, Inc., Riviana Foods, Specialty Rice, Inc. and Windmill Rice Company.
