Arkansas student to compete in JEOPARDY! Teen Tournament

CULVER CITY, Calif. - A 15-year-old student from Arkansas will compete for the $75,000 grand prize in the 29th edition of the JEOPARDY! Teen Tournament.

Cooper Lair, who is in the 10th grade at Little Rock Christian Academy, is one of 15 students competing for the grand prize.

The tournament is set to begin on July 21, and will conclude with a two-day final airing July 31 and August 1.

To qualify for the tournament, prospective contestants were selected from those who passed a 50-question online test.

A select group was then invited to attend regional in-person auditions consisting of a second 50-question test, an interview and mock game play.

JEOPARDY! airs on KATV Monday through Friday at 2:00 p.m.
