Arkansas tennis coach resigns after 26 years

FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - University of Arkansas tennis coach Robert Cox is resigning after 26 years as head coach.

The university said Monday that Cox will move into administration and work with the facilities and event management divisions.

Cox played for the Razorback tennis team in 1977 and 1978. He was named head coach before the 1988 season.

Thirteen Razorbacks coached by Cox were named All-Americans and he led UA to nine NCAA Tournament appearances as a team. Cox is the winningest tennis coach in UA history with 323 dual match wins.
