Arkansas to host 11-team invitational this weekend
FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - The top-ranked Arkansas men's track and field team returns home this weekend to host the 11-team Razorback Team Invitational.
The competition begins Friday at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville and continues Saturday.
Along with Arkansas, the 2-day meet will include Florida, LSU, Texas, Arizona, Florida State, Baylor, Georgia, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. UA says the invitational will feature three NCAA indoor champions - Florida's Omar Craddock, Arkansas' Andrew Irwin and Arizona's Lawi Lalang.
Arkansas finished second last week at a Texas A&M meet. The Razorbacks picked up several individual wins, including Tomas Squella in the 800 meters, Cale Wallace in the 3,000 meters, Tarik Batchelor in the triple jump, Caleb Cross in the 60-meter hurdles and Kevin Lazas in the pole vault.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press.
