Jersey's short life wasn't always easy. Her father, David Bridgeman is serving 18 years in prison and her stepmother Jana Bridgeman is serving 12 years for chaining her to a dresser last year. Court records show David Bridgeman told an investigator he chained her to the dresser with a belt. He explained that he did it because she got into medication and other items in the house. They both pleaded guilty in June 2011 to false imprisonment, permitting abuse of a minor and endangering the welfare of a minor.
