(KATV) Little Rock - The state has had some short sleevekind of day, but it's a totally different feeling in the air in theRiver Market. It looks a lot like Christmas.
The Arvest River Market on iceofficially opened Saturday. One of the open air pavilions has beenturned into an ice rink.
One of the great things about it is youhave plenty of time to get out there an enjoy it. The rink will beopen 51 days. The last day is January 8th.
R J David with Arvest River Market onIce says, "You pay $9, that includes the skate rental for an hour.You'll be surprised how tired you get in an hour because skating isone of the best cardiovascular exercises you can do." You can bringyour own skates, but it will not discount admission. Groups of 15 ormore get $1 off admission. Groups must pay together. Kids under 4 getin free with an adult.
The rink will be open from 4 p.m. To 9p.m. Monday through Friday through December 16th. On Saturdays thehours are 10 to 10 and Sunday's they'll open at noon and close an 8p.m.
The hours will be extended through theweek after the 17th and if you get too cold, they alsoserve hot chocolate.
