Attorney General says no to raw milk sales from Grade "A" producers
Attorney General Dustin McDaniel released an opinion Friday that grade "A" milk producers cannot sell raw milk.
State lawmakers passed a bill this year that allows small farms to sell raw milk, if there's a sign posted saying the milk is not pasteurized. But, grade "A" producers get that rating from state inspections, and McDaniel says the law does not apply to those producers.
The Arkansas State Health Department says raw milk could expose consumers to dangerous pathogens. Supporters say adults who want it, should be able to buy it.
