Autopsies planned for 2 found dead in Ark. fire

ONYX (AP) - Authorities say the bodies of 2 people found after a house fire in Yell County have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for autopsies and identification.

Sheriff Bill Gilkey says the fire happened late Thursday at a home in Onyx.

The Russellville Courier reports that the victims appear to be a father and adult son, but authorities are awaiting positive identification.

Chief Deputy Josh Foster says the house was destroyed in the fire. He says the fire's cause is still unknown, but authorities don't suspect foul play.

Authorities say an adult woman escaped the fire and suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation.
