UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Bank of the Ozarks robbery
NORTH LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Hours after a Bank of the Ozarks branch in North Little Rock was robbed, a suspect was in custody.
According to Ofc. Shana Cobbs, Michael Boyd walked into the branch at 3640 Camp Robinson Road around 4:15 Friday afternoon wearing a surgical mask. He reportedly showed a handgun to a teller and demanded money.
A few hours later, officers pulled over a vehicle near U.S. 161 and Emily based on witness descriptions of the car the suspect drove away from the bank. Boyd was the driver and officers took him into custody.
He reportedly admitted to the crime and was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery and theft of property.
At last check, Boyd was being held at the Pulaski County Detention Facility without bond.
