Bassett Furniture delivers items to youth center

LITTLE ROCK - A delivery truck carrying a truckload of thousands of dollars in new furniture joined Bassett Furniture{} executives and employees to make a surprise visit to Little Rock's only emergency shelter for youth Thursday.{}{}The shelter provides temporary housing and assistance to at-risk children ages 8-17 and is operated by Centers for Youth and Families - a non-profit organization that has been serving Arkansas families and children since 1884. It's part of Bassett's{} Make (over) a{}Difference{}initiative that creates fresh living spaces for organizations that serve the communities in which Bassett opens new stores. Providing 24/7 emergency support and housing to youth can take a toll on a facility and mean lots of wear and tear. Bassett Furniture wants to create a comfortable and fun new space for the kids.
