Baxter County inmate accused of biting jailer
MOUNTAIN HOME (KATV) - An inmate at the Baxter County Jail was charged with a felony after reportedly biting a jailer on the arm Tuesday afternoon.
Bradley Travis Edmonston was outside in the recreation yard when deputies started searching his cell. Jailers said he got upset they were searching his area and refused to calm down. When they tried to take him back inside, Edmonston allegedly bit a jailer on his left forearm.
Deputies subdued him with pepper spray. The injured jailer was treated and released from a local hospital.
Edmonston will be charged with aggravated assault of an officer, which is a felony. He was serving a sentence for misdemeanor probation violation, resisting arrest, failing to appear and violating a no contact order and was slated for a May 25 release before the new charge.
