Bicycle enthusiasts celebrated all things bicycling Sunday at the first Biketoberfest event.
People were treated to some high-flying tricks and stunts by the Southern BMX stunt show.
Builders collected old bicycles and parts from the 60s to put together completely new rides for the rat rod build off.
Organizers decided to start the event because of all the bicycling activities Little Rock specifically has to offer.
"Between the Bike Polo Club and the court that they have at MacArthur Park to all the bike trails we have that start down here in River Front Park, give you the ability to ride very, very far in Little Rock and that's a unique experience for a town like ours," explained Diana Long, director of River Market operations. "Plus it's healthy and it's beautiful weather here this time of the year so why not get out and take advantage of it in a positive way."
The event was presented by the Little Rock River Market, Chainwheel, and Recycle Bikes for Kids.
