Bodies of two fishermen recovered from Lake Dardanelle

Pope Co. (KATV) --{} According to the Pope County Sheriff{}the two men{}who drowned are{}40-year-old{}Xing Dong from Russellville and a 26-year-old Tan Jiang from Searcy. The two were related.{} police{}say the{}four men were fishing early{}Thursday morning at around 3 a.m. when their tiny boat capsized, {}two others{}were able to make it to shore.{}game and fish officials say one thing they're looking into is the capacity of the boat. It was an old boat and didn't have a limited capacity marked on it.{} They also confirmed they did not recover any life jackets. Now the boat was found quite a ways away from the area where it actually turned over, so police say they were able to quickly recover the bodies only because one of the people who survived was able to take them to the exact location.

"One of the people who did make it to shore was an uncle of one of the victims. Through an interpreter, he gave us some good information of the location of the boat when it did turn over. How many people were there. Where they came out on shore. It helped us to kind of narrow down where we could be looking. " said Pope County Sheriff Aaron Duvall.@

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Game and Fish Commission and authorities could not confirm if alcohol or drugs were any kind of factor.
