Curtis Reese, Jr. has been caught near Pangburn. Reese, 33, escaped from the Tucker Unit on Monday. He and another inmate escaped in a water tank atop an 18-wheeler.
Authorities had been searching for him for days. He was found in a wooded area about two miles into Cleburne County on Thursday, around 10:30 a.m. The Associated Press is reporting that Reese was found in a cave.
Authorities believe Reese may have had outside help after finding parts of a cell phone and an abandoned truck with supplies.
Reese was convicted of two counts of first degree murder in 1997 for the deaths of Eric Ogden and Lance Kelloms.
