BRYANT (KATV) - You may have noticed these shops while driving down the highway. Well, they are purposely built in places far away from residential areas by ordinances that the city creates.
Chris Madison, Bryant's city attorney, says the city is in desperate need of changing its nearly 15 year old ordinance that regulates these shops. Madison says not only does the ordinance have to be replaced but penalties for any violations should be harsher.
He says these businesses have not been a major problem for the city but there is one specific thing parents were concerned about that he hopes to address at tomorrow's council meeting at 7 p.m.
