Candidate for 2nd Congressional District seat raises $300,000 in first quarter
Little Rock, Ark.--The campaign of Little Rock businessman and Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives (AR-2), French Hill, announced fundraising numbers for the first quarter of 2014. Hill raised a total of $300,000 and currently maintains nearly $710,000 cash on-hand.
Since the campaign launch five months ago, Hill has raised a total of $870,000, 80% of which was raised in Arkansas. The campaign has no loans. Rep. Tim Griffin (R-AR) currently holds the seat and recently decided not to seek reelection.
"We've had another great fundraising quarter," said Hill. "This support bolsters our campaign plan to share my conservative message of smaller government, lower taxes, local control, and common sense in Washington."
Hill faces State Rep. Ann Clemmer, Debbie Standiford, and Col. Conrad Reynolds in the Republican primary.
Former Mayor Patrick Hays is the lone Democrat in the race.
