UPDATE: Central High students report attempted robbery by teens with fake gun

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Friday after school, two students from Little Rock Central High School (LRCH) reported being approached by two other students, one of them with a fake gun.

The suspects asked the students for money and a cell phone, but left without taking anything. The students didn't tell school officials until Monday.

As a result of the report, LRCH administrators, Safety and Security personnel, along with Little Rock Police school-based resource officers, identified the suspects. Their names are not being released because of their ages but Little Rock School District authorities said they were disciplined. The Little Rock Police Department will also follow through with appropriate actions.

The school notified parents via e-mail as well as an automated phone call. For questions or comments feel free to contact LRCH principal, Nancy Rousseau, at or 447-1402.

UPDATE: Two unloaded BB guns were found at Dunbar Middle School early Tuesday evening during a routine search.
