LITTLE ROCK - The Fourth Annual Chili Fights in the Heights, presented by the Heights Neighborhood Association is this Saturday in the Pulaski Heights neighborhood on Kavanaugh Blvd.
More than two dozen teams will spend the day competing in the chili cook-off with all proceeds benefiting the Arkansas Foodbank Network.
Cooking will begin on Kavanaugh between N. Taylor and N. Polk at 2:00 p.m. and by 5:00 p.m., tasting will begin. Those interested in tasting all competing chilies will be able to purchase a tasting kit for $4 and public tasting will take place from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Over the last four years, Chili Fights in the Heights has raised over $16,000 for the foodbank network.
Sponsors include the Heights Neighborhood Association, Heartland Bank, Charlotte John, Smart Auto Group, Steamroller Blues, Janet Jones Company, First Security Bank and the Heights Business Association.
