Chuy's restaurant coming to Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK - Chuy's (pronounced Chewy's), will open its firstArkansas location Tuesday, May 7.

For morethan 30 years, the Austin, Texas-based chain, has served Tex-Mex cuisine in a fun and vibrantatmosphere. The eatery is known for its fresh food and eclecticdécor complete with an Elvis Shrine, wall of local dog photos, funky art, metalpalm trees and a hubcap-covered ceiling.

"We're eagerto introduce Chuy's Tex-Mex to Little Rock," said Dayne Kelley, local owner andoperator for the new Chuy's on Chenal Parkway. "Like we say, if you've seen oneChuy's, you've seen one Chuy's. Each of our restaurants is unique, and we lookforward to offering Arkansans a true Tex-Mex dining experience with made fromscratch dishes..."

The Chuy'smenu features authentic family recipes from South Texas, New Mexico and Mexicanborder towns. Favorites include Stuffed Chile Rellenos, Chicka-Chicka-Boom-BoomEnchiladas and Chuy's Famous Big As Yo' Face Burritos. Flour and corn tortillasare hand-rolled all day on the authentic comal located in the dining room.

In additionto its famous food and atmosphere, a cornerstone of the Chuy's philosophy is togive back to the local community. A Little Rock charity partner will beannounced in April.
