Sheriff Marty Moss announced that on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, Law Enforcement Officers of the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and 16th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Don McSpadden's Drug Task Force concluded a joint operation between these agencies which ends a year long investigation that has led to the issuance of warrants of arrest for 38 different offenders.
A mass drug offender arrest operation throughout Cleburne County named Operation New Year was conducted resulting in the arrest of 21 drug offenders on numerous felony and misdemeanor counts with the assistance of the following additional agencies: Arkansas State Police, 20th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Quitman Police Department, Pangburn Police Department, Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, and Heber Springs Police Department, and Izard County Sheriffs Office.
The following listed suspects were arrested in the first phase of this operation with additional arrest pending.
