HELENA-WEST HELENA, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas highway officials say construction on Highway 49 will require a lane closure on the Helena Bridge over the Mississippi River.
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department says the construction will reduce traffic to one lane.
The lane closures started Monday and will continue on weekdays until Oct. 11. They'll take place between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Traffic will be controlled using warning signs, barrels and flaggers.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
