Conway Police make major drug bust

(KATV, Source: Conway PD) Officers with the Conway Police Department's Narcotics division arrested seven people on drug charges stemming from a December 7, 2012 bust.

It happened at a home on Carl Stuart Road after officers executed a search warrant. The CPD/Faulkner County Sheriff's SWAT team secured the home. As they made entry, an officer reported seeing a woman throw a glass pipe out of the door. The SWAT team located several other people inside the house.

During a search of the home officers located drug paraphernalia, consisting mostly of glass smoking pipes, a digital scale and plastic baggies. They also confiscated syringes, pipes, spoons, some prescription drugs, meth and cocaine.

During the search two cars drove up and the people inside, including the home owner were taken into custody. Drug paraphernalia and drugs were found in the car. One man and six women are behind bars in connection with this bust.

Charges against the seven suspects range from maintaining a drug premise within 1000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Officers involved consider this a major bust. They believe a thorough investigation and cooperation between various agencies resulted in theses arrests and helped keep drugs from hitting the streets.
