Conway police arrest suspect in shooting inside Walmart

Conway Walmart placed on lockdown as police investigated the shooting.

The Conway Police Dept. has arrested the man suspected of shooting someone inside a Conway Walmart Saturday.{}

Myron Terrell, 29, of Conway was arrested at his place of residence at approximately 2:00 a.m. Sunday.

Conway Police Dept. spokesperson LaTresha Woodruff said associates at Walmart were able to identify Terrell from surveillance images. {}

Officials with the Conway Police Department released a picture of the suspect from surveillance video Saturday night and asked for the public's help identifying the man.

Terrell was an employee at the Walmart, according to Woodruff.

Woodruff said police were keeping tabs on Terrell after learning his identity and followed him until police were given the go ahead to make the arrest.

The shooting happened just before 10:00 p.m. Saturday inside the Walmart off Skyline Dr.

The man walked up to a customer waiting in the checkout line and shot her multiple times and left the store, according to Woodruff.{}

The store was placed on lockdown during the investigation.

The victim, Lori Martin, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. {}She is listed in critical condition, but Woodruff said she is stable and doctors expect her to live.

No one else was hurt in the shooting.

Police believe this woman was specifically targeted however at this point there is no reason to believe the suspect and the victim knew each other.
