Cotton with slim lead over Pryor in new poll

A new poll released Tuesday in the U.S. Senate race shows Republican Congressman Tom Cotton with a slight edge in his bid to unseat Democratic Senator Mark Pryor.

The poll conducted by "Talk Business and Politics Research" and Hendrix College asked 1,780 likely voters last week who they'd back in the U.S. Senate race. Cotton got 44%. 42% said they'd vote for Pryor. 4% chose Green Party candidate Mark Swaney, 3% selected Libertarian Nathan LaFrance, and 7% remain undecided.

The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.3 percent.
