FORREST CITY (KATV) - An Illinois man is dead after another driver reportedly ran into his parked car early Sunday morning.
According to Arkansas State Police initial reports, around 1 a.m., 56-year-old George Hines' car was sitting on the shoulder of Interstate 40 near the 252 mile marker, when 41-year-old Earl Strong's vehicle veered off the road and hit the parked car.
A St. Francis County coroner pronounced Hines dead on the scene.
Strong was injured in the crash and taken to a Forrest City hospital for treatment.
Road conditions were described as clear and dry at the time of the accident.
