FAYETTEVILLE (AP) - The father of Arkansas forward Hunter Mickelson says the sophomore will be transferring to Kansas.
Mickelson will have to sit out next season because of NCAA transfer rules. He will have two years of eligibility with the Jayhawks starting with the 2014-2015 season. Kansas was one of the schools that recruited Hunter out of high school.
Mickelson set the school record for most blocks in a season by a freshman (72) last season, but he struggled to develop a consistent offensive game in two seasons under Anderson. The sophomore averaged 5.5 points per game this season in an average of 16.9 minutes per game, once again leading the Razorbacks in blocked shots (39).
