LAKE VILLAGE, Ark. (AP) - Organizations from the Delta regions of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi are slated to meet in Lake Village for the inaugural Delta Health Initiatives Program conference.
The conference is set for Sept. 5 at the Lake Village Expo Center.
Participants will meet to discuss current health challenges and identify opportunities to work together to improve the health of citizens in the Delta.
The Arkansas Department of Human Services Division of Community Service and Nonprofit Support will also be on hand to provide attendees with an opportunity to meet representatives from each foundation and learn about potential grant opportunities.
Ray Hanley, president and CEO of the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, says bringing the organizations together can strengthen efforts to impact their communities and improve the health of all Delta residents.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press.
