Democrat Hays amasses more than $350,000 in first quarter of 2014
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The congressional campaign of former North Little Rock Mayor Patrick Henry Hays announced that it raised over $350,000 in the first quarter of 2014.
Hays is running for the 2nd District seat left open by Republican Tim Griffin, who is running for Lt. Governor.
"What's going on in Washington is a disgrace," said campaign manager David Furr. "As Mayor, Patrick Henry Hays balanced twenty-four budgets, cut wasteful spending, and created jobs. This campaign has tremendous support from Democrats, Republicans, and Independents because Mayor Hays got things done and has a record of commonsense leadership."
Hays' campaign will report $470,000 cash-on-hand.
Republican French Hill announced raising $300,000 on Friday. State Rep. Ann Clemmer, Debbie Standiford, and Col. Conrad Reynolds are also running for the Republican nomination.
