GARLAND COUNTY (KATV) - A pregnant woman drove drunk on Halloween night, hitting several other cars and injuring several people, according to deputies.
Witnesses told deputies Thursday night that they saw 27-year-old Twila Watson speed onto a dead end road, hit a car and drive over a flower bed on Quail Ridge Drive around 9:00. She then reportedly tried to turn onto another street and ran over a woman's foot in the process.
That woman fell underneath the car. A friend of the victim told Channel 7 News that she had been hit "multiple times" and was in intensive care.
Someone tried to stop the car but was dragged about 10 feet. He only had minor injuries but was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Watson then hit a parked car with a family inside, according to investigators. Those victims were also taken to the hospital.
When deputies arrested Watson, she said she didn't know her way out of the neighborhood when she left her boyfriend's home after fighting with him. A field test showed her blood alcohol level was at .20 - more than twice the legal limit.
She reportedly told deputies she remembered hitting one person.
Watson is five months pregnant and had two children in the car at the time, according to deputies.
She faces four counts of second degree battery and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Watson could also be charged with driving while intoxicated, but Deputy Scott Hinojosa said prosecutors were waiting for the results of a second blood alcohol test taken at Mercy Hospital.
