Details emerge in shooting death of 107 year old Pine Bluff man

Monroe Isadore with friend Laurie Barlow

Channel 7's Justin Lewis is following up on the Friday afternoon's shooting death of 107 year old Monroe Isadore of Pine Bluff.{}

Isadore was shot by police as they responded to a disturbance inside a residence.{} Police say the elderly man refused to come out, and fired shots at them as they attempted to clear the residence.

Coming up on Live at Five and Channel 7 News at Six Justin talks to friend, caregiver and former employer Laurie Barlow, who tells us Isadore was in temporary housing, awaiting a permanent place to live when relatives showed up to speak to him.{} She says that's when the problems occurred, because she says he feared some family members.

It appears that Isadore may have purchased the gun that he used in the shoot out with police only a few weeks ago.{}
