Dozens of dogs returned to Lonoke Co breeder

BEEBE - A veterinarian is checking out dozens of dogs, in preparation for their return to their owner in Lonoke County.

About 160 dogs were removed from breeder Sandra Nance's possession when she was charged animal cruelty, but a judge has since ruled that the dogs must be returned.

For months the dogs have been housed, but could not be adopted, at the Pulaski County Humane Society.

On Sunday, a number of volunteers showed up early at the shelter to give the dogs one last grooming and to say goodbye to them.
