DREW COUNTY (Monticello LIVE) - The victim of the Wednesday night shooting has been identified as Patrol Deputy Jeremy Chapman. The suspect, Nicholas Bray, was found dead Thursday morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Monticello Live reports Chapman was trying to pull Bray over for a traffic violation. That's when police say the suspect shot Chapman.
Law enforcement officers spent the night on a manhunt for Bray. They found his body Thursday morning.
At last check, the deputy's family said Chapman was in stable condition.
