Education officials want greater degree completion
LITTLE ROCK —
State education officials will gather Wednesday to announce an initiative that's intended to help more Arkansas college students stick with their studies.
The effort is part of an initiative announced by Governor Mike Beebe two years ago to double the number of college graduates in Arkansas by 2025.
On hand for Wednesday's announcement are to be Neal Gibson of the Arkansas Research Center, Ed Franklin, president of the Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges and Shane Broadway, interim Higher Education Department director.
