Ex-Razorback arrested on prescription drugs charge

BRYANT (KATV) - A former Razorback football star was arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly trying to pass a forged prescription at a Bryant pharmacy.

Cedric Cobbs, 32, and Gary Hunt, 59, reportedly tried to pass a forged prescription from Dr. Columbus Brown IV for 180 Roxicodones. As police were arriving at the pharmacy, they saw the men jumping into their vehicle and driving away on Highway 5 toward I-30. After a short chase, they pulled over just before Springhill Crossing off Highway 5.

Cobbs was arrested on charges of conspiracy to obtain drugs by fraud, fleeing and driving on a suspended driver's license. Hunt was arrested on a charge of 2nd degree forgery plus outstanding warrants out of Sherwood and a felony parole warrant.
