MAYFLOWER (KATV) - ExxonMobil said it's possible the pipeline that spewed oil into a Mayflower neighborhood could be taken out of service.
Vice president of the ExxonMobile Pipeline Company Karen Tyrone said it's too early to say for sure whether the pipeline will close but they are considering that option.
The line carries heavy Canadian crude from Illinois to the Texas Gulf Coast. A seam ripped in late March, spilling 210,000 gallons in Mayflower.
Tyrone said the investigation into the spill is still underway and could take a year or more.
