Family-owned George's makes changes in executives

SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) - Family-owned poultry company George's Inc. is announcing changes in its top positions.

The Springdale-based company on Monday said Carl George and Charles George will share the positions of president and chief executive officer. The change went into effect on Friday.

Gary George leaves as president and CEO but will remain company chairman.

Carl George will be in charge of live production and processing and Charles George will be in charge of sales, accounting and other back shop functions.

Carl and Charles George advance from their previous positions as vice presidents.

In addition to Springdale, George's has production facilities in Cassville, Mo. and Edinburg and Harrisonburg, Va.
