Farmers' Market in the River Market to open next month
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
The Farmers' Market in Little Rock's downtown River Market District will open in just over a month.
The official opening of the market's 39th season is Tuesday April 30. The first Saturday will be May 4. Organizers say the Farmers' market will have a new, fresh look that will help patrons have a more enjoyable experience. In addition to adding decorations, the market is widening some aisles to better accommodate shoppers with children and pets.
Parking in the back lot off Ottenheimer for Farmers' Market shoppers is free on Tuesdays and Saturdays. If you are parking in the River Market Parking Deck, ask a Farmer for a complimentary parking passes.
Veggie Valet will be returning this summer. To take advantage of this free service, shoppers can leave their goods with the Farmers' Market, have lunch or enjoy other areas of the River Market. Then they can come pick their produce up as they get ready to leave
